QueryPad Privacy Policy

QueryPad is a database client for iPhone, iPad and Mac made by Eonix (Pvt) Ltd ("we"). This policy explains what information QueryPad handles and where it goes. The short version: we do not collect any data. QueryPad has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

What QueryPad processes on your device

To work, QueryPad stores the following on your device:

• Connection settings you enter: names, hosts, ports, database names, user names, TLS settings, SSH tunnel settings and colours.
• Secrets: database passwords, SSH passwords, SSH private keys and key passphrases, stored in your device's Keychain.
• Saved queries and folders you create.
• Query history: the SQL you run, when, on which connection, how long it took and how many rows it returned.
• Schema caches (table and column names) used for browsing and autocomplete.
• Query results while you view them, including temporary files for large results that are deleted when you close the query tab or restart the app.
• SQLite files you open, and copies of them when they live in iCloud Drive or another file provider.
• Certificates (PEM files) you import for verify-ca connections, and SSH host-key fingerprints you trust.
• Crash and performance diagnostics provided by Apple's MetricKit, stored locally.

Where your data goes

• Your database and SSH servers. QueryPad sends credentials and SQL only to the servers you configure, over encrypted connections.
• Your iCloud account (optional, QueryPad Pro). If you turn on iCloud sync, connection settings (without passwords or keys), SSH tunnel settings (without keys) and saved queries are stored in your private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices. If you also turn on "Sync passwords via iCloud Keychain", database and SSH passwords are stored in iCloud Keychain. Private keys, key passphrases, history, schema caches and certificates never leave the device. Apple processes iCloud data under Apple's privacy policy; we cannot access it.
• Apple. Purchases are processed by the App Store. Crash reports reach us only if you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, and they are provided by Apple without personal information.
• Nobody else. QueryPad contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs and makes no network requests to Eonix servers.

Diagnostics you choose to send

Settings → Export diagnostics creates a file you can review and share with support. It contains app and OS versions, device class, feature settings, counts of connections by database type, error categories and MetricKit summaries. It never contains hosts, user names, database names, SQL, query results, passwords or keys.

Retention and deletion

Data stays on your device until you delete it. History keeps the most recent 5,000 entries. You can delete individual connections, saved queries and history entries at any time, or remove everything with Settings → Erase all data, which deletes QueryPad's databases, Keychain items, certificates, file bookmarks, caches and, if sync is on, the synced records in your iCloud account. Deleting the app removes its local data.

Children

QueryPad is a developer tool rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

We will update this page and the effective date if this policy changes, and describe material changes in the app's release notes.
